How to Disassemble the Escalator Steps?
1.Escalator
The escalator is a means of transport that transports pedestrians by means of conveyor belts. An escalator consists of a ladder path and handrails on both sides. Its main components are steps, traction chains and sprockets, guide rail systems, main drive systems (including motors, deceleration devices, brakes and intermediate transmission links, etc.) electrical system etc. The steps gradually form steps after the horizontal movement at the passenger entrance; when approaching the entrance, the steps gradually disappear, and the steps move horizontally again. These movements are realized by the step main wheel and the auxiliary wheel walking along different step guide rails respectively.
2.Escalator Step Sink Reason
Steps are an important part for carrying people. Once the bracket breaks, the main wheel or the use unit and auxiliary wheel breaks, and the pedal breaks, it will cause the step to sink. The feet and pants of passengers will be changed between the step and the comb plate. Clearance clamping, serious personal injury may occur.
3.How to Install Escalator Step
1. Install steps
Steps can be installed and removed at the lower head of the escalator. When installing and removing a rung, it is necessary to open the front panel and remove the rung stopper as shown. The specific installation sequence is as follows:
1) Loosen the bolts on the positioning ring.
2) Move the left and right bushings on the step chain to the middle position.
3) Lift the steps, put the left and right auxiliary wheels into the left and right steering walls in parallel through the notch on the steering wall of the tension frame, and snap the axle seats on the step legs to the step shaft.

4) Tap the shaft sleeve with a hammer to make it enter the step shaft holder.
5) After the installation is in place, tighten the hexagon socket head cap screws to locate the stepped bushing.
2. Test steps
Use the inspection box to debug the steps and observe the misalignment of the steps. It is required that the step staggered teeth be less than 1mm when running up and down. If it does not meet the requirements, run the steps to the proper position of the head, and adjust the shaft sleeves on both sides of the step shaft to adjust the left and right of the steps until the wrong teeth of the steps are less than 1mm. Repeat the above steps until all rung positions meet the requirements.
Check whether the center of the comb teeth of the comb plate is coincident with the center of the tooth slot of the step pedal surface. If they do not coincide, loosen the screws that fix the comb teeth, and adjust the left and right positions of the entire comb tooth plate to ensure that the comb teeth coincide with the center of the tooth groove on the step pedal surface. The screws should be tightened after adjustment.
4.Escalator Steps Maintain
1) Before starting the escalator or sidewalk, check that the surrounding environment is clean and hygienic, and there are no relics on the pedals.
2) Check daily that the gap between two consecutive steps or treads should meet the requirements of the specification.
3) Check the gap between the pedals or steps and the apron board daily, each column should meet the requirements of the specification, and the two sides should be the sum of the clearances should not exceed the design requirements.
4) Check daily that there should be no damage on the surface of steps or treads, and that the steps or treads are well fixed.
5) Check daily that there should be no excessive amount of swimming of steps or pedals in the running direction and lateral direction.
